Your memories are sacred. We never sell them, never use them for training, and never share them. You own
everything. You can delete everything. Always.
We process data only to create, operate, secure, and improve the preserved identity you asked us to
maintain, and only with the controls described below.
1. Overview
Remayne preserves the identity of deceased loved ones as a continuing presence using advanced voice
preservation and personalized memory technology.
This policy covers the Remayne website, related voice and memory workflows, and the data processed to
create and operate a preserved identity. It applies to information controlled by Aurandel, Inc.
2. Information We Process
Voice recordings
Audio may be used to build an identity, calibrate a voice, support speech-to-text during
conversations, and generate audio responses. Identity-creation recordings are stored encrypted and
can be deleted by the user or authorized family controller.
Memory data
Remayne stores personalized memories, story fragments, relationship context, and summaries on
Aurandel's private VPS infrastructure. Memory data is encrypted at rest using AES-256, never sold,
and never used for model training.
Identity preservation data
This includes personal journals, voice setup data, session history, continuity notes, approved
identity notes, and other preserved identity materials derived from user-submitted content. This
data is user-owned and deletable.
Operational and security data
We may process account, device, diagnostic, and access-control information needed to secure the
service, enforce consent, and operate the product.
3. What We Do With It
- Create, calibrate, and maintain a preserved identity requested by the user or authorized family.
- Generate personalized responses informed by approved memories, relationship context, and voice settings.
- Convert speech to text, generate spoken replies, and surface relevant memories during active conversations.
- Enforce consent controls, legal review gates, deletion requests, and safety policies.
- Detect crisis signals in real time so we can provide support resources when needed.
- Secure the service, diagnose failures, and preserve platform integrity.
4. What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell memories, voice recordings, or preserved identity data.
- We do not use your memories, recordings, or preserved identity content for model training.
-
We do not store raw conversation transcripts permanently. Remayne keeps AI-extracted summaries,
structured memories, and limited operational metadata instead.
-
We do not share voice recordings of the deceased with any third party without explicit family consent,
except where processing by a contracted service provider is required to deliver the feature you
requested.
5. Third-Party AI Services
Our products use third-party AI services for language processing, voice synthesis, and speech
recognition. Your conversations are processed through these services to generate responses.
We select providers who meet our security and privacy standards. We do not permit these providers to
retain your personal data beyond what is required for real-time processing.
6. Storage, Security, and Deletion Controls
- Memory and identity preservation data are stored on Aurandel private VPS infrastructure.
- Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 or an equivalent platform-level encryption standard.
- Access is restricted to authorized personnel and systems that need the data to provide the service.
- Users and authorized family controllers may request deletion or export of their preserved identity data.
7. Data Retention
We minimize retention wherever possible. The table below reflects the intended Remayne retention model.
| Category |
Examples |
Retention period |
| Identity preservation data |
Personalized memories, personal journals, voice setup data, session history |
Retained until the user or authorized family controller requests deletion. |
| Session data |
Session summaries, continuity notes, limited safety and operational metadata |
Retained for 90 days unless longer retention is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. |
| Voice recordings for identity creation |
Uploaded samples, voice setup recordings, family-approved source material |
Retained only during the active identity creation process unless the user elects to keep them for further iteration. |
| Conversation audio for speech-to-text |
Live microphone audio submitted for transcription |
Processed in real time and not retained as a permanent archive unless separately uploaded as identity-creation material. |
| Crisis detection processing |
Real-time signal analysis for self-harm or crisis indicators |
Processed in real time only and not stored as a separate crisis archive. |
8. Crisis Detection and Safety Processing
Remayne may evaluate user input in real time for crisis indicators so it can provide appropriate support
resources. This processing happens during the active interaction and is not retained as a separate
emotional or psychological profile.
Remayne is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or may harm yourself or someone else,
call or text 988 in the United States or contact emergency services immediately.
9. Your Rights and Choices
- Request access to the personal data and preserved identity information we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your identity preservation data, recordings, summaries, and related account data.
- Request export of your data in a portable format.
- Update or revoke permissions you have granted for identity creation or family access.
- Ask us to confirm whether a deceased voice sample or memory set is still retained.
California residents may exercise rights to know, access, delete, and export personal information under
the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended. Remayne does not sell personal information and does not
share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
